Saints In Actions Are Building a School In Kenya

As you all know, Saints in Action is a group of students trying to raise $10 000 to build a school in Kenya. They have raised $8,291 so far this year and have one more big fundraiser before classes end next week.

Saints in Action has $1700 dollars left to raise in order to reach their goal of $ 10 000! As their final fundraiser this year, they have decided to see just how competitive you Saints really are. There is a school -wide game of sabotage starting June 1st and it is girls versus boys! There are two water jugs to collect your spare change; the girls water jug is in the library and the boys water jug is in the gym. In this game of sabotage, pennies equal points and everything else (silver coins, loonies, toonies, and bills) take away points. So, you want to put pennies in your jug and put any other type of money in the other gender’s water jug. For example, if a male student puts a quarter in the girls’ jug, 25 cents will be deducted from the girls’ total. This game of sabotage will continue until June 10th and there will be a prize for the winning gender on the last day of classes!
Saints in Action will also be selling handmade jewellery during the AP Art Show before the Machy’s on Thursday night.
