Focus on Information Technology (FIT)
FIT is a Canada wide program for Grades 11 and 12 students. It is designed to prepare students for a world that runs on computers. The FIT program provides high school graduates with technology and business/entrepreneurial skills and with essential workplace skills and IT related work experience.
The FIT program focuses on developing:
1. Employability/essential skills
2. Business/entrepreneurship aptitude
3. PC Maintenance Skills
4. Technical proficiency

The Saints in Action had fantastic news on Friday!
The Saints in Action reached their goal of raising $10,000.00 to build a school in Africa. What a tremendous accomplishment! Thanks to all those who helped in this very worthwhile endeavor. Congratulations on a job well done to these STM Saints!!

Saints In Actions Are Building a School In Kenya
As you all know, Saints in Action is a group of students trying to raise $10 000 to build a school in Kenya. They have raised $8,291 so far this year and have one more big fundraiser before classes end next week.

Home Stay Families for the 2010- 2011 School Year
During the upcoming school year 2010 -2011 , District 8 will have International Students attending school for various periods of time. Columbian students will be coming to our Middle Schools for a two week period in October. A second group of Middle School students from Columbia will be in our District for a three month period ( Sept. to Nov.). International students from Germany, Mexico and or China will be attending our High Schools all year long.
